Yasir Yıldırım, a student at OMÜ Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, won first place in the Canik Municipality Short Film Competition organized in collaboration with Canik Municipality, Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) and the Turkey Technology Team (T3) Foundation with his short film titled “Kızıl Kuzgun” (Red Raven) and received his award from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Our student Kıvanç Karabulut won third place in the Animation category at the 17th ROFİFE Rotary International Short Film Festival in 2025 with his short film titled “Bizler” (We).
In the TRT Future Communicators Competition, Şule Nur Yazar and Utku Can Eroğlu won second prize in the Radio Broadcasting Drama Program category with their work “Koparılan Çiçekler” (Plucked Flowers). In the Television Broadcasting Short Film Category, Mohamad Vard Atik, Feyza Kani, and Yasser Kosba won third place with their work titled “What Happened.”
Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) Faculty of Communication Radio, Television, and Cinema (RTS) Department 2020 graduate Yunus Tüzen won an award at the 2nd Short Film Competition organized in collaboration with Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University (KMÜ) and Karaman Nişantaşı College in memory of Kazım Karabekir, one of the heroes of the National War of Independence.
